Erik Holt

Vice President of Land, General Counsel

Erik Holt, a licensed attorney, brings more than 15 years of experience as a land and legal professional in his role as Frontier’s General Counsel and Vice President of Land. Before joining Frontier, Erik was an officer and member of the investment committee of an oil and gas investment fund with $1 billion in assets under management where he led all land, legal and business development efforts for the platform. Previously, Erik was a partner and Chief Commercial Officer of Teal Natural Resources, LLC, a private equity-backed E&P operator focused in the South Texas. Over the course of four years, Erik was instrumental in Teal’s growth through a series of acquisitions that led to more than 30,000 acres is in the oil-rich window of the Eagle Ford basin while also managing all corporate legal affairs, including Teal’s successful monetization in 2021.  Prior to Teal, Erik held management roles for multiple, privately-funded startups focused on consolidating and operating both conventional and unconventional oil and gas properties throughout the lower 48. Erik earned his Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech University School of Law and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the Oil, Gas and Energy Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and was recently a finalist for the D CEO Corporate Counsel Award.
